Fostering researchers and health care providers who will lead the world in the field of advanced medical research with a rich sense of humanity
We train human resources to possess the basic knowledge and techniques necessary to play active roles as researchers in the fields of medical science and biological science as well as highly specialized staff in the medical and public hygiene fields and specialists in healthcare and health policy management.
The Doctoral Program aims to train students to be specialists, including internationally recognized researchers at universities or research institutions around the world, clinicians and medical scientists at medical institutions excelling in clinical techniques and research competence, and highly specialized professionals engaged in health services administration and public health in administrative organizations and companies, as well as to be fully equipped with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to play active roles in their respective fields.
Special programs are offered that best suit each student’s career plan, such as a program for pursuing a doctoral degree while still undergoing clinical training and a program allowing students to learn the compulsory subjects of the Doctoral Program halfway through the School of Medicine course. Financial support is also available.
