The 2nd GI-CoRE Summer School for Medical Physics

On 12-18 June, Global Station for Quantum Medical Science and Engineering (GSQ) jointly organized the 2nd GI-CoRE Summer School for Medical Physics with Stanford University.

To implement the Summer School, teaching staff from School of Medicine, School of Engineering and School of Health Science who are double-appointed as a member of Global Station for Quantum Science and Engineering had been preparing for the high-quality lectures. Not only those lecturers from Hokkaido University, invited lectures from other institutions gave wonderful talks including Dr. Lei Xing and Dr. Ruud Vinke from Stanford University as well as Dr. Lijun Ma from University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Dr. Hideyuki Mizuno from National Institution of Radiological Science and Dr. Takahiro Yamada from Hitachi, Ltd. 15 participants were accepted in total from the across the world and the Summer School provided a wide range of theoretical and practical knowledge in medical physics which include basics of medical physics, particle therapy and RTRT, practical skills at Linac, proton beam therapy and planning system etc.
