Department of Regulatory Health

Kojiro Maeda

Most people would be unacquainted with the term “regulatory science”, Regulatory science is the study of regulations that are related to evaluations in the development of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

I was attracted to this field and entered this postgraduate school wanting to provide a bridge between the experimentally based medical areas and the theoretically based and in silico data resulting from experimentation. At present I am comparing the clinical data available for Japan and other countries for an orphan drug.

I am spending a very productive time with the research supported by Professor Arato and many others. I am looking forward to the time when I can carry out the work with you.
